Baby Lovett!

So it's only taken me almost 25 weeks to post about the baby boy who is coming in May. I will back track to where it all began.  September 17th, 2011 I took a test, while my parents were visiting us.  I had planned on waiting till I was 8 weeks to tell anyone in the family, but since my parents were visiting, I thought it was the best thing to tell them in person.  Of course my mom and dad were very excited.  That Monday I called the OB to set up my first appointment.  They wouldn't see me until I was 8 weeks, so I had to wait a month to be seen.  The week of my birthday I started to experience all day sickness. The sickness continued until the Sunday before Christmas,so from 6 weeks until 17 weeks.  During that time everyone said it's all worth it in the end, and you will forget about all of the sickness.  I will never forget how sick I was, but I do know it's all worth it in the end.

I got to have a ultrasound at 8 weeks, to confirm that everything was going the right way.  It was awesome to hear the heartbeat and see the little blob of a baby.  At 20 weeks Joshua and I went in for the "big" ultrasound.  We were not going to find out the sex of the baby, we wanted the doctors office to call our bakery in Atlanta and tell them the sex so we could find out with our families.  For some reason the doctors office would not call the bakery for us, so we decided to find out and just keep it a secret from the family.  Keeping it a secret from Tuesday till Saturday was very hard, but I accomplished it.  We did a gender reveal cake, so everyone found out at the same time.  The whole family was very excited to find out that we are having a little boy!  James Hamilton Lovett is set to arrive May 30th!

Just shy of 21 weeks we had a small ice storm here, and I slipped and busted my butt.  I think I broke my tail bone, and was in horrible pain for weeks. It's been almost a month and I still am in pain, and can't sit for very long.  The doctors weren't concerned about the baby, since I felt him moving after my fall. I went to the doctor for my 24 week check up and his heart beat was strong.  I had to have the glucose test, and I passed it!  I was concerned that I would fail, so I was very relieved when I passed.

Well that brings us to current time in the pregnancy.  Lets hope that I can start doing the weekly updates this week.  I will also post pictures of the previous weeks and the 20 week ultrasound.
