Wedding

So I am over a month behind in posting anything to do with the wedding.  It was a beautiful wedding!

December 4th, we had the wedding rehearsal.  I have no pictures from it, I'm horrible at taking pictures now.  We had the rehearsal dinner at my parents church.  It was BBQ!  So yummy!  It was nice to be able to enjoy time with family and friends before the big day.

On the day of the rehearsal my hair dresser came down with the flu.  I was so upset, I thought my hair was going to look horrible for the ceremony.  Thankfully I had a girl lined up to do my bridesmaids hair, so I confiscated her for my hair.  She did an excellent job, and I was so thankful for that.  Joshua and I decided to see each other before the ceremony to get our pictures done.  We wanted to make sure that after the ceremony we didn't take too long to get the party started.  It was so cold and windy on the wedding day, but we braved the temps and took pictures outside.  In some of the pictures you can kind of see that I am cold.

Our ceremony was simple, we didn't want anything extravagant.  I loved having an old family friend who is a pastor officiate.  We have known Sam since I was a little kid, and he was the youth pastor at the church I grew up in.  He is now a pastor in St. Pete. I'm happy that he was willing to drive up here to be a part of our big day!

All three of my nieces were in the wedding party.  Mackenzie was a junior bridesmaid, Kaeleigh and Addison were flower girls.  Addison helped to ease our nervousness during the ceremony.  She walked down the isle with my mom and brother.  She had her flowers in the crook of her arm, and was clutching a bag of chocolates.  When the ceremony started, she decided to start using her flowers to "cheers" the bridesmaids.  Then she passed off her flowers so that she could eat some chocolates.  At one point she went to sit with my mom and said, "there's daddy, and Jessie and Josh."  Also at some point a petal from her flowers fell on the floor and she loudly exclaimed "oh my goodness"!! It was so funny.  It definitely helped with making me be a little less nervous.

The only pictures we had to take after the ceremony were the family pictures that I wanted.  It was so nice to not take a long time and keep our guests waiting.  I know that if I had been a guest I would have appreciated that!  The food was excellent. And we found out after the ceremony that the caterer had no power at his place the morning of the wedding, and had to cook all the food on the grills in dutch ovens.  I'm glad that we didn't know about that until after the wedding.

Joshua and I left and went to the Varsity.  I had to beg him to take me there, he really didn't want to.  We left early the day after the wedding for Tampa to go on our cruise to Mexico!  The cruise was great. I will do a separate post about it.

Enough taking, onto the pictures.
